Engr. Anthony-Claret Onwutalobi

As we step into the 2020 association year, our esteemed chairman has outlined a comprehensive agenda that places a significant emphasis on the health and well-being of our members and their families. Recognizing the timeless adage that “Health is Wealth,” the chairman has called upon every member to prioritize their physical and mental health. This year, our collective effort will be directed towards adopting healthier lifestyles that include balanced diets, regular exercise, and adequate rest.

Implementing the Health Initiative

To jumpstart our health program, the association has decided to organize group exercises, underscoring the importance of staying active together. Mr. Arinze Udo has been appointed to spearhead this initiative. Although our initial plan for a cross-country and jogging session was postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions, we remain committed to rescheduling this activity at the earliest convenience.

Scheduled Group Jogging

Mark your calendars for the 19th of July, 2020, at 6 PM, for a group jogging event at Purotie 4, 00380 Helsinki, Finland. This gathering promises not just a workout but a fun and engaging experience for all. Please come prepared with your sports gear and a bottle of water.

Novelty Football Match

In line with our goal to foster camaraderie and ensure widespread participation in physical activities, we are excited to announce a forthcoming novelty football match. This event is designed to bring our members together for an enjoyable time of exercise and socialization.

Health Program Benefits

Our dedication to this health initiative is driven by the understanding that such efforts can significantly reduce the risk of diseases such as cardiac arrests, heart attacks, high blood pressure, hypertension, and more. It is a proactive step towards enhancing our community’s health and longevity.

Health Check Reminder

Members are also encouraged to consult with their family doctors for regular health checks, including blood pressure monitoring, to ensure they remain in optimal health.

Support for Bereaved Members

In a display of solidarity and support, a levy of 60 euros has been set for aiding three of our members who have recently lost family members. Contributions can be made through our financial secretary or directly into the association’s account.

Annual Dues Waiver

Acknowledging the financial strain brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual dues for the current year will be waived for all members. However, members are reminded to settle any outstanding dues and levies.

Upcoming General Meeting and Family Camping

Looking ahead, our next general meeting is scheduled for the 25th of July, 2020, at Oittaa (Espoo, Finland). This meeting will double as a family camping event, promising a day filled with activities, hosted by Mr. Prince Ikechukwu, Jude Nwaeke, and Uchechukwu Obi.

Future Discussions

All matters discussed will be detailed in our meeting minutes and further explored in subsequent gatherings. This year, our mantra is to work smart, eat healthily, build friendships, enhance family love, and exercise often. Our commitment to the well-being and unity of our members is unwavering.

We cherish and care for each member of our community.

Stay Blessed,

The Anambra State Association Finland Leadership.
